Welcome to our R/C site in sunny Hawkes bay.
Remote control stockcars have been in the Bay since the New Zealand Teams Champs 2006. Where Wellington and Gisborne joined Hawkes Bay.
Wellington and Gisborne took out the honours.
Feel free to look in our site and enjoy the racing.
Stockcars class, RC Stockcars come in either gas or electric classes . The Stockies are a 1/10th scale version real New Zealand speedways, complete with the bashing and crashing, broken cars and smoked motors.
Unlike most other classes of RC racing, RC Stockcar rules allow full contact - in fact it is encouraged. This is not to say it is simply a demolition derby, using race tactics and teams is also encouraged, with cars either blocking or running depending on the strengths of the car.
The Stockcars are generally made with a 1/10th scale touring 'donor' car as the running gear
Streetstocks class, the running gear of the 'TT01 donor' car must be keep as stock standard, no hop up parts, standard 540 can motor.
Body choice and build materials are open and the 6mm bar work is optional. Most of the current RC Streetstock sedan or station wagon bodies are made from mild gauge steel that become dented and scratched up just like the real Streetstocks adding to the fun factor. Bodies can be any sedan or station wagon, currently most are based on old 6 cylinder cars seen racing at actual New Zealand Speedways such as Valiants, Holdens and Fords.
New Saloon Class, 1/10th scale touring donor car, standard 540 motor, this class is aimed at new comers wishing to try RC racing, without the added cost of getting stockcar or street stock built.
This class is a non contact class to align with the Saloon class at the speedway; these cars are designed to get sideways in the corners.
